if you guys want to tryout a free game... check this out. its called Urban Terror... some of you might know of it. It use to be a Quake 3 mod. Frozensand released it as a free-stand-alone-download... meaning you don't need Quake 3 to play it. The game play I find is somewhat like rtcw/cs kind of mixed together with some nice trick jumping and wall jumping. It's on the Quake 3 engine... same engine used for RTCW. So all the server commands and cvar's are the same. It's good fun.

yea the entire game is MP. there is no single player or anything. ummm I prefer BOMB mode or SURVIVOR usually. I ping best to some of the Alpha servers (there are like 20 of them) :p

It all depends though on which Mode is being played... or how you ping. Personally I prefer BOMB or SURVIVOR... CTF is alright but I'm no good at capping flags so I just kill people. Most of the Alpha servers a nice... I can usually be found in them. I play for Team Exile (tag: xil-) ... you'll prolly see us around. I'll join whatever server just depends. Just play with your normal name I'm sure we'll run into each other. I always play under my name (xil-redman)

Should get your whole team to check out this game... the more the marrier.

It's just like any other game... if you go 70-5 in BOMB or SURVIVOR.... they usually tend to ban/call hax ... seriously though its very easy to spot a hacker in URT... esp if its an aimbot. People are fast about kicking them from the server.


GAME MODES
Survivor = kill the other team before they kill you (1 life per round)
Bomb = 1 team plants the bomb, other team tries to defuse.. just like cs/cod (1 life per round)
Capture the Flag = cap as many flags as you can in the time limit... respawn is usually like 5-12 sec.. depending on server settings of course

there are a few other modes but those are the main ones.

for weapons I would recommend using AK or LR300 ... with a silencer or laser (up to you)

there is bullet spread in this game so try not to keep spraying... control you're shooting... few bullets at a time. you'll catch on

also put these commands in console... cg_SmoothClients 1 and r_displayRefresh 80 ... helps out a bit.

There are hitsounds too in Options under Bullet or Gun settings (forget off the top of my head)

Last night 'Bassman' called out 'Paddy' on his being caught with hacks.
Paddy's response was "oh well", then he proceded to get over 100+ points on axis.

I told Paddy about 3 months ago that he was a hack and all I got from most players was "You're crazy Warpig".

That may be true, I might be crazy BUT I have never been wrong about anyone that I ever said was hacking. EVER.

All I need is 10 minutes against a hacker and the truth is known.

I'm pretty sure he used the "I'm an old OSP player" bullshit too when I told him that cheaters suck. F***ing lame.

I could make a long list of all hackers that visits ECGN, here's a couple to start with.

Iggy88 = BULLSHIT, also used the "OSP" excuse.

Hue = BULLSHIT, was on 2 nights ago, killing 4 against 1 with a luger. Funny to watch yet pathetic. Managed to stay on the server as long as he wanted to causing many players to leave.

Great NON-hacking players won't play anymore thanks in large part to these f***s and the other hackers.

Make me an admin for a month and your server will be cleared of all these clowns. PERMANENTLY

Paddy did play OSP... don't know if he was ever caught hacking. I never thought he did/was anyways. AND points mean nothing.. you can return the documents like 10x and have 100 points. i remember back in the day on this server Bluecherry i got 900 points in 30 minutes camping the warroom. ofcourse that was when The CLQ (http://www.theclq.com/) was around :p ... use to rank players by points not kills.

and whoever Iggy88 is... he's probably lying. Never saw him in OSP back in the day...

i still haven't played vs 1 player on ecgn that i can honestly say i think is cheating... dunno what u guys are on :p

I know points aren't that important unless of course most of the points are from kills which shouldn't have been. Thus the case of Paddy.

Like I said before, he admitted to hacking with his response of "oh well" after Bassman called him out on it., which says to me that he doesn't care about anyone elses game so f*** him and his hax. Should be perma-banned from the game.

Just for the record Redman, I never said that you hacked because I can't remeber ever playing against you.

As for your comment about not suspecting anyone of hax in RTCW and "what are we on".

Wouldn't your statement about the game Urban terror which is:

It also holds true for RTCW, all I'm asking for is a fair match, nothing more. The server is constantly full of honest players who deserve that.
