I receive banned message

I fired up RTCW multiplayer for the first time in a long time and was letting my son try to play some. His tag was "gamehock" I know he was not hacking but I do not know if he committed some other violation. He is a complete noob to online multiplayer and I probably should have kept a closer eye on him. I had assumed after reading something about a punkbuster perma ban, that maybe we had a setting issue or maybe we needed some updates but alas we still appear banned. If anyone can let me know what is wrong or what we did wrong I would like to try to fix whatever problem there is so we could play some very classic RTCW beach.

What's up lead. No need to have to keep an eye on him. As long as he doesn't start teamkilling, we are noob friendly . Just to try and help I will post this in admin forum so maybe it gets resolved faster.

Your cd-key isn't entered correctly.

Look for a file called 'rtcwkey' in the 'Main' folder of your wolf install. Open that file with Notepad. It should have your correct cd-key in there without the last 2 digits. If it doesn't, edit the file and save it. It's a very common problem after reinstalling the game. That should take care of it.

I wondered if the cd key might be a problem.... I have had issue with it b4. The thing was RTCW was playing along real well and then out of the blue it started with the punkbuster banned issue.

Also having talked with my boy a bit he said he did tk a couple times and I explained to him that would get him the boot fast..... I did not think about ff being on, and that was a lapse on my part. I did not even really remember FF being used much back when I was playing RTCW regularly. He said he did not mean to TK team mates and he recognizes axis from allies better than I do... damn old eyes.... .
