Make sure to bring lots of med packs, our 64 player beach server is intense!

I'll entertain that.
While technically not shooting any faster or slower the mind perceives it. And if it is believed to be true then its consequences are true. So yes, when my frame rate drops from 60-70 to 20-30 there is a noticeable difference instantly, the server continues to fire the gun at the same rate, but if my perception of it is slower, then its slower...

If you know that it doesn't shoot slower and yet you continue to believe that it does and act accordingly, then you're intentionally putting yourself at a disadvantage.
Either way, you're being an idiot.

I was on Puny and the only person you need to worry about thinking you hack is Man at Arms. Don't worry about anyone else, let them cry hack and you smile.

Its all in your head.
Just like how everyone thinks an object is blue because it looks blue.

Bingo!
But I'm referring to how the phenom is perceived.

Arguably the "perception is reality" argument, rooted in the teachings of the presocratics, depends on the man-measure doctrine (interwebz posters oughta have a heyday with that one ;>). "What I perceive is my reality. Things are as they are to me." Makes one a marketer's dream IMHO

However, I'll quote - I think it was Twitch - on the FPS issue. "You can't shoot what you can't see." If your opponent "sees" you three times for every one time you "see" them, surely there is some advantage there. Not that you shouldn't learn to compensate for your lack of ability to perceive (^%@%*# old computer, connection, whatever) and just hammer away knowing that the server ultimately defines how the game plays out.
Then again I am far from a Q3 engine guru. Onwards...

yeah, I agree with what you are saying Leafy. A huge problem I have seen is how shitty the server runs with over 30-odd players on it. The differences in the pings, number of players running config settings that tax the server dry, then BOOM!!!! Everyone hacks! I know that online gaming does not have a steady, even playing feel to it and quality changes throughout game play yada yada yada, but at the end of the day, some shit just should not be run.
333 FPS was outlawed for a reason in competition for a reason. It keeps the playing field level on a consistent basis and still offers a reasonable playing experience for all involved. Now, if someone as become accustomed to running settings that make life a walk in the park for them, but screwing up others, thats a weee bit bullshit IMO.

I don't get how 333 now doesn't seem to do anything now..how come i can jump to 30 dzm on 333 but only 26.5 on 125fps? IT has to be jacking around with something in order to allow someone to move/play like that

Take a stopwatch or similar timer and fire a full clip at 125 fps and 333 fps, you will see the difference

Good good, Leafy explained it for me so I don't have to.
