My new house and a rant

For anyone else working on getting a house, congratulations and you also have my condolences!
****** RANT MODE **************
We were scheduled to close this time last week. The day before closing they sent us some stuff to sign. I started reading the paperwork and saw that our APR had gone up a full percent! I had been talking to them every day for almost 3 weeks and somehow they forgot to mention this.
So, we start again with a different type of loan to get the payments down to where they were before. A week later we show up for closing with the agent telling us that it will take no longer the 45 min.
Well, here we are 2 hours and we finally have the key!
Anyway, I am glad its over.

GREAT choice. That is my perfect dream home. Except with a pool
I'm in university right now so I can only hope one day I'll be living in such a nice place

Yes but they make for a really bad defensive position. Anyone could head straight for the living room. Fortunately a little creative landscaping can correct the problem:

One of those in the front yard could come in handy.

Wow, nice pictures! I hope you don't have to repair and rebuild a lot. We had to rebuild everything as we were moving into this house... (And here in the Netherlands, the houses are much smaller then in the States! I'll attach a pictuce how is was and how it has become...
This is how it was...
