I'm in Norfolk also Pudrik, I'm thinking Ocean View is gonna take on a whole new meaning...too bad it's where I live :) Under "mandatory evacuation" but I'm too stubborn to leave.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 105 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. A
SLIGHT INCREASE IN STRENGTH IS POSSIBLE PRIOR TO LANDFALL.

HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 115 MILES FROM THE
CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP
TO 315 MILES.

only 105 mph winds. it has weakened a lot. you guys are gonna be ok. drink some alchohol and enjoy the show.

Hoog, your problem will probably be the 7-11 ft. stom surge. but thats only if the eye comes near your location.

Well here's a doppler radar scan of Isabel making landfall in NC.

Maximum Sustain winds of 110mph, making it a solid cat2 hurricane.
Here in Maryland the first squalls are just comming though, alot of rain but little wind as of yet. Hope I don't lose power latter tonight....

Although causing mass devistation, hurricanes are pretty awesome looking.
