More hype than anything else, at least here....lots of wind and rain, no damage, but I haven't been outside yet.

Servers stayed up at the DC, thats a good thing!

Whatever's left of this storm is actually moving right over my head as I type this. By the time it hit PA, it was pretty much through. Not much rain, mostly wind. I think about half of the houses here are without power, but luckily I'm in an apartment, so generators are nice.

Well, I am very happy to hear that it went smoothly! But as someone mentioned they were worried about enjin? Guess he lives also somewhere around the path of Isabel! Hope he's allright also!

I know my folks back in Williamsburg have no power right now. They escaped any damage to the house or anything so that's good.

We didn't get much here in blacksburg, top winds about 35 mph and lots of rain but that's it.

We're hardcore, we had a football game last night durring the brunt of it :D

Fatal Anomoly, are those pics taken by yourself?

Fri Sep 19, 2003 6:29 pm

Yes I took them this morning in Annap, They are saying we will not have power for days here which is making it hard for people to pump the water with no electric.

Wow! Look at all that water!

And I was pissed we lost power for a few hours, and water for the day....I'm lucky I guess!

Be safe Ron!

Well, the power was JUST restored a few minutes ago. :) The devastation in this area is tremendous!!! :( This whole area has been declared a disaster area from about 75 miles south to about 50 (or more) miles north of here. We lost power Thursday about 1-2 pm. The hurricane went right over top of us, the eye passed directly over us. As usual, it was a truly awesome site to behold. I watched as trees were blown over and a fence across the street was knocked down. There was a pickup parked right in front of our building that was threatening to lift off the ground. It was amazing so see the wind being able to lift the pickup! If the wind were any stronger it would have been blown away. I pressed my face against the window as I watched; the window pressed back as the tremendous wind tried to get in. We lost many, many shingles off the roof and developed several leaks, but luckily no one here was hurt. :) Thanks for inquiring about me! :D

I am headed back to Atlanta in a few hours, so I'll catch you all on the flip side.

Glad you survived Enjin! Must have been strange to see that pickup! Hope the repairs of your home goes well! You buy the shingles, and I'll buy you a !
