Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Nice. Nothing on the market can hold a candle to those systems. They will need to offer some lower end stuff. But man on man if I had 7k. Lets get off this system and come back to reality. I just got a HP Pav a250n at CompUSA for $850.00. It came with the following and I am getting 85-100 fps in BF1942 DC.
P4 2.6 w/HT
120gb HD
512/333mhz RAM (upgraded to a gig)
4xDVD+ writer (first tray)
cd (just a regular cd drive)(second tray)
Geforce4 MX440 64mb video (upgraded to 9600pro)
250w power (upgraded to 350w Antec)
onboard sound (upgraded to Santa Cruz)
I have a few upgrades but mainly just personal tweaks. The system out of the box is enough to get you gaming. In fact I don't see a great improvement over the Geforce card to the 9600. More fps but not greatly noticable.

the 9600 Pro would be a huge upgrade over that MX crap..er...card.
Jax, next time you go to upgrade, look into biuilding your own. I could have built you a system much better for around the same price, if you kept certain things fromy our old comp(CD, DVD, sound, etc).

I work at Best Buy and we have those too, we sold a few of those. I'm the technician there, I take a look at it, and like, wtf, why did they pair a HT CPU with only PC-2700 RAM?? HT was meant for PC-3200... I always tell them to upgrade the RAM... you should too! You're not getting the full performance if your RAM is the bottleneck for your CPU.
