What do you think about the final chapter of the trilogy?

**POSSIBLE SPOILERS**
I thought it was as good as what could have been expected. However, I thought it could have contained one or more good additional fight scnes, as well as a little more depth to the ending.
I thought the Smith/Neo fight was done pretty well as far as the bullet time, especially that punch was sick! However,
What was up with the way Smith was defeated..?
I also thought Morpheus was kind of forgotten, which majorly sucked, even Reloaded had him kicking ass.
I thought there could have been more depth to the fighting in the club as well.
I know of my a lot of friends thought it sucked, but think about it, in context of what had to happen in this movie, & you won't think it was too bad.

sorry man but the end of this movie sucks, the movie entirely sucks, childish, no sense, even more questions than answers......

Just came back from the 5:45 show...
First of all, to all those who read the negative reviews, and those who saw it, you have to see it in a Christian perspective.
There is a lot of similarities and parallels with the bible in Revolutions, if you're not Christian you will not get it. Don't expect too much, the most predictable ending isn't the real ending by the way. Really great moving, gets your adrenaline pumping and you sitting at the edge of your seat once it gets going 30 minutes into the movie. From on there, be prepared to have a emotional roller coaster.... the girls I went with cried at a certain part, a few guys sniffled...
On a scale of 10 I give it a 9... I will not reveal anything as I don't wanna spoil. I'll provide my insights a week after the movie's out.

The ending was about self-sacrifice. "It is inevitable", Neo died as he acted as a conduit for the anti-virus that the big machine used to wipe out all the Smiths. His conciousness is now in the Matrix, his "programming" was influenced by the Oracle as she is the one who unbalances things, so in essence, she's the main bad guy as she was the one who may have started the war. The Architect's main purpose is to balance things... Now that Neo's programming conciousness is in the system, Smith is gone so now there is NO more The One. The system is balanced.
From a Christian perspective like myself, Neo is Jesus. Jesus died for our sins, the sin part is similar to the Sentinels, the overall war with the machines. He died so there is no war, Jesus died so we don't have to fight our sins. We created our sins, just as the humans created the machines in the first place.... What the Archjtect said about how long will the peace last is also how long can we fight our sins for? Today's world is filled with sins, good and evil. Evil can never be destroyed completely, neither can good. Yin and Yang. The machines can never be eliminated completely, neither can humans. There must be balance.
Notice the crucifix or cross of light at the end... er, familiar? or just coincidence?

I already posted this in a different thread but I will post it here too.....
I seen it yesterday, it was okay, but what I didnt. understand was if NEO was the only one who could defeat "THE SMITH".... Then why would he go and make a deal with the machines??
"SMITH'' can take over machines......, NEO can defeat the "SMITH"........ but not the machines??..... kindof seemed that they messed up the story there,why not defeat the machines then "SMITH"???...... unless I am wrong , please feel to correct me and make me understand.....
Over all I thought the movie was okay, in my opinion the first two were great

I am not Christian,a nd I get it. still does not make it good. In fact, it was hitting you over the head that Neo=Christ, Neo=Christ, Neo=Christ, Neo=Christ, Neo=Christ.
It got annoying.
The second and third movie flat out sucked. Cliche after cliche after cliche.
Take the second movie, how many times does he have to ALMOST fall of the semi's trailer?? I think that type of a scene was evented before talkies!
The first movie was perfectly fine by itself.

The movie itself was very well filmed and was also very visually attractive, but the end fucking sucked. I am pissed , plus they left it open ended which really pissed me off. If all goes well though there may be another part to the movie like 20 years down the line of neo as a child . JK!

It's not really surprising that Matrix 3 has an open end.
If they make a part 4 (or a presequel like Star Wars) they can earn lots of $_$ with it (ofcourse).
I like the visual effects, and I like the story, but it has some clichés like Jimmy said.

Actually, Neo can't defeat the Smiths. Everytime he gets up he's knocked down. The last thing that The One had to realize is that he has to give himself up to save Zion, by that I mean he has to give the very thing he is, aka his own life. Because remember when Smith said he's seen it happened before, that he has stood over Neo's body before. All of the other Neos failed to realize that you have to give up your own life so that others may live..and it is precisely what this 6th version of Neo did. By giving himself up, the machines were able to use his body to inject the anti-virus (one way of seeing it) to wipe out all of the Smiths and restart the Matrix again. They changed the system with the black cat...
Remember the first Matrix? When Neo saw the same black cat and said it was "deja vu"? Deja vu is when the Matrix changes something...

My opinion is still the same , I understood the former matrix movies but this one has more weak points than the other two.
From the beginning of the fancy scene when all smiths are toguether they could cut the final fight with smith ( in my opinion I thought neo was almost Son Guku in dragon ball and he was going to turn into a super warrior and) and paste with the last scene when smith is destroyed. You have to agree that that fight was no needed becuase that leaded to nowhere.
Just another reason to waste some milloins of dollars that watchowky brothers had in their pockets.
PS: And I got all the points but the peace given by the machines is another point with no reason.
Neo is dead, ok, any of you thought why not the machines fight this time and slaughter the rest of humans in xion, making a deal? puff.
there is no reason of any balanced point between machines and humans when these can take them out whenever they want.

Budda, it wasn't left open ended, really, just read Agent's first post.
They already said there will be no 4th movie, good decision.
Amaryl, trust me, they didn't waste money, I'm sure they're making plenty
You have to definately think about this with some Religious thinking and take it for what the analogy of what the movie is.
Overall fights could have been better, longer & maybe one more inserted somewhere, but if you take a step back & look at is a whole, the Trilogy is definately a classic.

That's not the point...
The machines represent EVIL. Humans represent GOOD.
You know, the eternal struggle between GOOD and EVIL?
GOOD and EVIL cannot live one without the other, THE YIN AND YANG is another example.
POSITIVE and NEGATIVE.
So no, the machines won't kill all of Zion...
The Architect's main purpose as a program is to balance things out...the Oracle's purpose is to unbalance things. She's like the negative while the Architect, he's the positive....
