This would be for the kids of course. My kids are 10 + 8 if this helps.

Any info would be appreciated.

If its for kids, get gamecube. There are alot of games for kids on it and the price is low. I know for sure that most little kids would not want a x-box, or you can get a ps2 so you and the kids would have somthing to play.

I would have to say the same thing, for kids a gamecube would be best. Teenagers to adults, XBox...PS2 is ok, it has a lot of games but the graphics are too outdated for me = /

Enough with this console tagging, gamecube isn't only for kid hehe. It depend on the kind of game your kid like. (i.e, don't go buy a gamecube if they like sport game or role-playing games...)
Anyway, just my worthless 2 cents.

I recently went shopping for Xmas and my nephew has a game cube i have to say that I didn't see too many games I'd say go with PS2, for one there are a ton of titles not to mention it plays games that are for the original PS. as far as xbox, i'd say stay away, i have played it, but seems most titles you see avaliable for can be bought for the PC or PS2. just my opinion.

I have a gamecube and a ps2, any I a little 7 year old cuz who comes over, and he gets bord with a the ps2 most of the time and rather play gamecube, oh yea and gamecube has way more multiplayer games then ps2 and it is 4 player, if you want to play the ps2 with 4 people you are going to nead a thing thats called a multi-tap and thats going to cost you a little more.

Yes, but I'm going to make the assumption that people who enjoy multiplayer are playing online anyway. Besides, the multitaps aren't that expensive. It's just controllers that kill you.

Nope, but it's the system most geared toward them.
