Headphone Issues

Postby Bagginses » Mon Dec 01, 2003 4:37 pm

Alright, I had a pair of crappy headphones plugged into the headphone port of my Logitech 5.1 speaker system and they ceased to work, yet, when I unplugged them, the speakers worked fine. So, I figured the headphones were bad so I went and bought new ones. Lo and behold, the new ones don't work either. I don't know if this is possible, but I was thinking that since the original headphones could have been left next to my microphone, there could have been some sort of feedback that could have shorted something out? I don't know, could just be poppycock. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

are your speakers digital? I remember there being a setting that say digital output only or something like that make sure that is not checked and try the head phones, I think it usually checks that box when you upgrade drives

I dont know, is there volume coming from the speakers before you plug in your headphones? I have that set of speakers too, so I hope you find a solution.

I figured it out. Actually, it's quite strange, but I have this nforce control panel, and for some reason, whenever I would plug in the headphones, it would move the master volume slider to the bottom, then when I unplugged them, it would move it back up. Oh well, it's fixed. :)
