1. Sonar, the big problem there is if you keep splitting stuff, you'll start drawing more current than the PSU can take (in the extremes, under load). Also, the nvidia stuff specifically states you cannot use a y-cable for the TWO power connectors required by the beast.
This was indeed stated by Nvidia, but HardOCP did it just fine on their review and had no issues.
Note: You can also run off of just one, and when you boot the OS will report that your video card is running in "reduced power" mode which lowers effeciency.

Man I might pick up a cheap replacement for my Gforce2 3d enhanced card.

I think the nvidia /ati battle will be too close to call this round.
But either way, the next batch of cards from ATI are not going to support dx9 shader model 3.0.
here is a photo of a presentaion slide from the nv40 launch party:
that whole list of games are already planned to take advantage of 3.0 shaders. I especially like seeing Stalker being listed there:)

Here is a benchmark of the HL2 leak, but for obvious reasons they can't call it that
this card looks to be a killer! If ATI doesnt put out a faster card, this will be the one I'm getting in a year or so when I upgrade again.
