edog call me up when ur ready to beat the shit outa ur comp so i can help! ive had one of those days u know? i get gas for my piece of shit care and a cappichino. im think mmmmmm war cappuchino for aq cold outside i get in the car and abou a quarter way home my lid pops off and half the HOT!!! cappuchino spills on my crotch! its a wonder i didnt swerve into the other lane while creaming some bad words

Edogg I dont know if this will help but check to see if the memory u got is compatible with the processor u have I had the same problem and come to find out the memory upgrade I was trying to make wasnt compatible with my athlon. So I had to buy a new chip, a more expensive one. Anyway I would try to take out the memory u installed and try booting up with your old memory. Hope it works dude it wont be the same with out you.

Dogg, if you get beep with no mem, than is not your mem and is not your mobo, only left thing to check is CPU and by the way is not the Power Supply because if it was, his drive wouldn't sping and the mobo wouldn't beep when he has no mem... so the i bet my money on the cpu...

As much as I hate going up against you *Shhhhh don't tell elite, he doesn't like violance between SS members* it will be good to have you back, as for me, Im waiting on a hard drive to set up my computer from scratch again... Im running on a 10 GB right now, but Im bored so I just might load RTCW... and I'll make sure next time Im out, you all miss me

Good luck... I still bet my money on the CPU... *if your info on trouble shooting was correct*

and by the way, im ASSuming that you had this running before and it just died, so compability issues is truly out of the question...

ok, this how im looking at my situation fellas:
we know either my motherboard or my cpu is bad, and hell it could be both.
If it is just the cpu, then its still not worth it for me to buy another cpu for the board i already have, since i have an intel board with a p3 933mhz cpu.
that board is pretty much maxed out. If it is the board that is bad, then it wouldnt make sense for me to buy another lousy p3 board again.
So whats my solution: Im going to buy a p4 2.4ghz bare bones kit off of http://www.pricewatch.com. That means I will get a new p4 mobo /w cpu, that will support usb 2.0, 8x agp, and ATA 133. plus i will get a case with a 300 watt power supply. I will get all of that for about $350 bucks. Plus i will pick up about 512mb of pc2700 ddr. I should get the stuff in about 2-3 days...i throw in my hard drive,video card,sound card, cdrw& floppy drives,and hook up my monitor and speakers...and its back to kicking your asses in rtcw:D
just kidding of course, since I probably will not have played for about 4- 5 days. My ass will probably be handed to you on a nice shiny silver platter due to my rustiness.

Just messing with you Bukkake I've seen you a couple of times.... well, i re-did my computer, pretty fast huh ?

hehe... I set my raid controller properly and believe me this shit makes a difference... I loaded xp in about 25 minutes or less maybe, and thats including formatting an 80GB volume (2X40GB ATA133 7200RPM) I won't be back till Thursday though, tomorrow I will load the apps and Wed. My mom leaves to another country so I gotta hang with her... so by Thursday I will be back...

Hey Dogg, I still have my money on the CPU... but as you mentioned it, its not worth buying a replacement part... invest the money on it

I did, just bought me a DVD±R/RW drive and an extra 60GB Hard drive...
