But I'm looking for "the straw the broke the camel's back" in this demo...the minor infraction that would warrent a ban. Mike did absolutely nothing wrong in the whole 20 minute demo. Just because 2 people complain, does not mean it is annoying the majority of the server. In fact, it seems like there are several people who see the injustice, and are standing up for Mike.

I wonder if the quick ban has anything to do with Mike voicing his displeasure with the server ingame...

One of the people that kept complaining on the server has an annoying line or 2 himself. Talk about bitching for no reason. You guys were just annoyed and annoyed with Mike, you had no real reason to ban him. Thats okay though if theres one good thing that Savant and Keek are good at it's justifying there actions. Not every time has been this pathetic but lastnight sure takes the cakes. Sorry but I disagree with you, that is admin abuse.

He got busted with auto push on earlier in the game....again.
My intent in the begining was to give an attention getting
!ban555 but name was no longer Memo but Killermik3, he sees this disconnects/renames to illshot, the ban was ment to drive him here as I stated, for a good ole forum hoe down, suspiciously though not many coming to mikes defence, but its still early this could change> keep in mind at this point in time frustration with Mike is at an all time high. stay tuned

Sorry you feel that way, why didnt you come to Starky Hots defence? you can disagree,thats why we have a forum.

You still dont get the HISTORY part of the problem though

And yet you talk as though you have more history on the server than your name implies

I also need to say that Mike is an incredible player, ANY server would love to have him as a reg. pro player base is hard to come by

I play on that server every night if not between 7-9, it's late night. I have plenty of history on that server. I was there lastnight I saw it all, I've watched the demo. You couldn't ban him for auto-push so you just had to ban him for something else. Get off of the ban wagon! It's pretty obvious to everyone that your admin powers are going to your head. I hope this comes back to you. I believe in a fair game as well. But what happened lastnight was clearly not justified.

Wow, this is still bannable? Doctrebor and Seether are constantly doing this. They claim they do not have autopush on but I have been shoved out of doors into enemy fire and down the backstairs because of them. Is this not the reason you guys do not want autopush on? I've mentioned to Keekanoo a couple of times of what they were doing but was brushed off and the shoving continued. I assume because they are both his friends. I mean if you guys are going to punish others for things like this, you should do it across the board, right?

i've been pushed before turn around and it was Doc T, was like ok.. he didn't leave it on or anything, i guess i was just in the way at the time. its funny how u get teated when you change your name to something else.

Folks, if you're seeing the tail-end of an action such as banning, it almost always comes as a result of previous actions. Shame people don't take demo's of my /m conversations with them going to great lengths to explain why certain things can't be done. Eh Mike? Night after night? Eh Mike?

Aphid... I don't brush anyone off knowingly. Sometimes the server gets busy and I don't see every single pm I get. If I get a pm from a reg I know to be a good, honest player, I do put more weight to it. Frankly, I don't recall getting a pm about either of those two using auto-salute, but then I deal with thousands of pm's so I dunno.

Ok, I do want to get around to a rules thing (ugh that it has to come to this and we can't play the game maturely and respectfully), but as there is so much confusion :roll:

about it I'll throw something down here fast.

Auto-salute can be used in TWO situations. One to do a trick jump over the wall. It HAS to be turned off IMMEDIATELY after the jump--not 5 seconds after, not 10 seconds after, not a day later. Two a feather on/off to push a blocker. Note the 'feather' part. Meaning a key bound so that when you push it down auto-salute is enabled, and when you lift the key up, auto-salute is disabled. Blockers typically are FRIENDLIES blocking a door/exit. This does NOT include anyone anywhere near you at all times in the game. Again, it's primarily there to push someone who's fireing in a door-way.

Don't use it in combat to push the enemy around. Don't use it in combat to push friendlies into enemy fire/off walls, into enemy positions etc.

I don't want to have to define every single episode that will come up, because that would require a book.

I'd like to rely on people using the push feature in a fair and mature fashion that isn't negatively affecting other players.

Ultimately the admins have to make calls on situations. That's our job. None of us goes in there wanting to ban people, but each of us will do what we feel is right for the server. Please respect the admins and ... :roll:

Yah, I mentioned to you that so and so had auto push on and you responded to me with something along the lines of auto push is not allowed on this server. That was pretty much the end of those conversations.

Now that you know they both do, I would hope that you watch them a bit more carefully now.
