As completely improbable that this may be, the reason a key maybe be shared is because of the parties had a lucky guess when inserting 'their' cd key. If the 2 groups both own the game, creating a 2nd key cant be all that difficult, but im just being creative.
The cd key is a 16 character string with about 36 choices per character (0-9 and A-Z). If you know anything about permutations, that makes the chance of guessing someone's cd key at about 1 in 36^16. You have a better chance of winning the powerball, local lotto, and pick 3 and 4 all in the same day. It's more than likely that this game was bought on eBay and the moron who listed it took a picture of the outside of the cd case with the key in plain view. That sounds more likely...where do you think I get all my cd keys? muahahaha.

Well after uninstalling you have to delete every files in the RtCW directory. If you dont delete it I dont think it will work.
Does this mean I would have to delete my config file and all the maps that have been downloaded. I guess what I'm asking is would I have to delete every Wolf file I have? Where is this directory?
I couldn't believe the number of people that have the guid number. Thinking back that game was bought 2 years ago at EB Games. I purchased another one there that had been previously owned but when I got home there was no CD-Key so I had to return it. The guy at the store actually called all the other stores in Ontario since he didn't have another copy, to get a CD-Key from someone else. Only one store had the game but the guy there wouldn't give it to him saying it would duplicate if anyone bought his copy of the game. I give that guy a lot of credit now for not giving out that number.
I'm not saying that Medic@War shouldn't be banned because of TK'ing although I feel bad because my husband is a good player and doesn't TK but obviously the kids haven't been changing his name. Since my husband is always the last one playing at night it's always his name that would be on it if it's started up in the morning. The first thing I always do when I join is rename myself because my configs are different than my husbands.
Now if I can figure out how to get the CD-Key to change I should be back in business because it doesn't sound like even buying another game is going to solve the problem since all 3 machines seem to have the same key hence the same guid no matter how many times the game is deleted, reinstalled and CD-key changed.
Thats funny, my husband and I get that all the time. I will usually get on first and so will he right after me. And either he can't enter the server because of duplicate cd key or one of us will get kicked for duplicate cd key, when we're both on. Which we both have different cd keys so I don't know what that's all about. Or if there is an error and one of us can't get on than we wait 5 minutes before we log onto the server again. Sometimes that works. Although I was never banned for duplicate cd key, thank the lord. Anyway, I was thinking maybe those key generators have something to do with it. Maybe someone else does have our key. Who knows?
Ok now I think there is a lot of crap in my main folder. Is that the information that needs to be deleted? Some of it I can't even get to open....lol....I'm not that swift when it comes to computer stuff. I just want to make sure I don't delete something important because my husband would kill me. He keeps telling me to find somewhere else to play but I don't want to so I have to do this on the sly....lol....

It does have ticks in there, but I have a feeling that particular guid was just purposely copying his name.
Incorrect. If I've said someone is using this guid, it's because I've watched them using it.
Further.... if you're seeing Arkain and Medic@war on a different guid then it means they have multiple keys.

no really, if you bought a new copy of wolf, your CD key could have been taken by someone with a CD key generator before you ever had a chance to use it, it's happened to people before, you call up Tech support and yell at them and get a new key from them![]()
God, I love Oni! best game ever!
