There is only one place where your teammates will salute and honor your wise use of the flame thrower, and that is choke points: The murder hole, the top of the upper base stairs, the ducts. Choose one of these, set up a nice lawn chair, open a cold beverage of your choice, and camp without shame.

Go anywhere else, and your teammates may very well shoot you in the back of the head, just for fun.

Using it in the back of the war room, to control the ducts, is a good place, as long as you don't sweep the room if an ally gets passed you.

Well what about the fact that this is shrub and anyone can drop and pickup weapons? With this knowledge isnt it very much possible that the total number of flamethrowers could have been 6 instead of 4. Its all about timing and respawning.

I can be a soldier with a flamethrower, spawn, drop the weapon, and /kill. I can then do it again. If, timed correctly 2 people can grab those flamers and I will be a third once i respawn. Never tried it to this extent, but I know ive dropped a flamethrower and respawned LT to grab it knowing that there were more flamers around, I could be wrong though. Thoughts?

i purposely avoid anybody, including teamates with the Flame. No matter how good, i just dont trust them to benefit the team in such a fasion that warrants me to run right around them. Its sad when a person treats the flame as a SMG and wipes out half the team.

there is a limit on flamers and panzers.. but in all actuality their isn't. if some one drops them, another player can grab and use them, so really thier isnt a limit at all.

Yes, there is a limit to flamers. I have them set to 2 flamers per team. Also even though FF is off, flamers can still damage themselves with the flame thrower.

FF is on.

The guys just spawn soldier, drop the heavy weapon, /kill, come back as a medic, lieutenant, whatever, throw down their current weapon, pick up their stashed heavy weapon, and away they go. Typically it's done with panzer fausts and venoms. Not unusual to see 4 or more fausts being used per side like this, same with venoms. Rarer with flamers as they are hard to use. Most guys use the medic/venom combination. Though I have seen a few guys that always go lieuteant/flamethrower so they can flame full bore at some choke point and just feed themselves ammo. Tres cheap.

My personal favorite is camping in the ducts with a constant feed of ammo

Going lt/venom is problamatic. Every good shot that you kill is going to knock you down health wise, even if you kill them. You won't last past one load (500) rounds (unless the allies are bad shots). Medic venom is better IMHO.

Flamer at ducts +
Flamer bottom of stairs of the upper bunker +

I like it / try to be careful- nothing worse than a idiot flamer and I still can be one at times.

Venom- hard to use in an effective manner IMHO. ......But I like it cause you can really provide good cover fire for your team. But it is really easy to bleed t-m8s if shooter is not careful.

Neither weapon, if they are to be used effectilvy are not for noobs to be using-

And picking a weapon out of your class- bad form - join the team- it's not an army of one.
IMHO:flame: :ar15: :freak:

Come on, admit it, when you get poisoned your trying to kill yourself as fast as you can. :)

Not really. Number one, I am never a flamer. And number two, if I get poisoned, I am smart enough to relax and give myself a med pack.

I usually play as a med and if I am not a med, I am smart enough to watch out for meds creeping up to poison me. I am not saying I never get poisoned but when I do, I don't use /kill. imo, it should be removed from the game.

Oh, sorry, I didnt make myself clear. I meant as a flamethrower in the ducts. It is the perfect unbreakable defense if executed properly. A flamer witha constant ammo feed in the ducts is one hell of a defense :D

And Aphid, I'm sure we all knew, its not hard to look at the post date, just a bump, thats all
