And this is the quality administration that the original poster of this thread was complaining about. Again, quality admins make or break a server.

All the gaming community is asking of the ECGN establishment is that they provide some oversite into the quality of the behavior and professionalism of the people that represent them. I think that over-sight is lacking or absent at this time as apparent by threads here at ECGN and other places.

And I have seen no intelligent arguments to the contrary of anything that has been mentioned here.

This was NOT to start a flame war against the admins, it was to point out that some of them are abusing the admin privileges. Restarting the match for no reason, 20 or so grenades magically appearing in the war room. Mr. Slaughter decided to make it a flame with his childish rantings. Good job defending the admins.(uh, that was a joke Slaughter)

Right Gregor, and as I have said this is not ALL of the admins...but the response you received to a legitimate complaint is all too common both in the server and on the forums. The actions you (and figo) describe we have all seen in one form or another. I am not trying to talk for you, but I am talking with you in a more wider reaching complaint.

7 seconds out of my day to post that is hardly a waste when set in comparison to the paragraphs I would write to clear some things up around here. Then of course only one question truly remains, is it really my job to make some sort of response?

I don't see either you nor Gregor even considering a rental of a server from ECGN, nor do I see anyone who bitches around here putting any money forward. If you do, and you have some sort of claim, by all means, lets hear it. The beach is a public server, if you don't like the way things are done one of 2 things will happen.

1. You will have to bite it and deal.
2. Man-At-Arms will change things.

I play on the beach to have fun, bullshit with people, and of course hop on Teamspeak and laugh about all this stuff here on forums. Might I recommend talking to some of the BF guys, they're also a blast.

I do not go to the beach to act as a baby sitter, but if some tard is planting dynomite in the war room filled with his teammates then something will be done. If a player insists on blocking a doorway something will be done. If a player decides to go on a team killing rampage something will be done. If you feel that there are admins who are SERIOUSLY abusing their status, it will be removed. There is no one above checking. If you think I am abusing my level, we'll go to Donny and get it sorted out.

Gregor, youre free to leave at any time. I'm not going to twist your arm to stay. I tried that with King of Beers and well look how that turned out...

All I can say is keep adding fuel to the fire, its getting stale around here.

Btw, for me someone using a wallhack or multihack or aimbots...is a lame cheater, cos he uses an external program or tecnic that not all can't use and basic game doesn´t deal with, beneficing himself. i agree using the shlub commands are lame. but is it the same as a hack? i dont think so. if shlub is the problem then i suggest that ecgn use osp on their server and see what happens then.

Only if you in someway are defending the poor attitude and behavior of some of the admins or are one of them. Yes in that case I think you should make a response...you answer that question for yourself.

As far as putting up money to purchase a server, you are sorely mistake as this has been discussed on our TT private forums to purchase one. I'll pull the thread if you like - but suffices to say it isn't gonna happen on ECGN give some of the poor choices going on.

The Public server exist for the public and I guarantee that one of the original arguements for keeping it around is to exposed potential renters to the availability of good hardware/service. Likewise blow back about bad admin'ing doesn't just hurt the PR for ECGN in the gamin community (which is primarily by word of month) but if people have a general distaste for one aspect, it often influences their opinions in other aspects about the same service - whether directly justified or not.

Additionally, "biting it and dealing with it" has been going on... by many.

As far as M@A changes, look forward to seeing what they are but it they don't include pushing a level professional expectations onto the admins in responding to people either in game or on forums then it doesn't really matter as nothing substantial will change.

I have B.S.'d with you in game plenty of times in the past and have had fun doing it. Most people play on the beach to have fun....but most would agree a constant barrage of bullets to the head from an administrator enduced stacked team is not 'fun'. Then followed by returning to complain about it telling you that your opinion doesn't count since you 'don't play there anymore' is a lot of pathetic attributes rolled into an arrogant person.

And you have done crazy things like !fling during game with me and things like that. But that is not what this complaint is about - there is clear line of "good fun" and being "an ass". I dare say some of the admins have crossed that.

I'm sure Gregor will be *thrilled* that you gave him 'permission to leave' but telling players to beat it doesn't address the problem that lost you the player in the first place.
If I didn't think the problem could be addressed in an insightful and appropriate manner I wouldn't be wasting my time in this thread.

Mull that over awhile before you post - perhaps I am giving more credit that is valid - perhaps I am not. Prove it one way or the other by your action or inaction.

If admins use !revive to revive their team-mates, nothing will be done. If admins use !putteam to stack teams, nothing will be done. If admins mute people because they kill the admin, nothing will be done. If admins rename people just for fun, nothing will be done. If people notice all that and start a thread (like this), nothing will be done. If nothing will be done and people send a PM to MMmmGood, he won't read it and pass the PM to MAN-AT-ARMS, who bans you for 'wallhacking' the next day.
