NHL, MLB, NFL Scandals

The cancellation of the Hockey season, the steroid scandal in baseball, the prostitution in football all spells the end of physical sporting. The future of sports is right here on the beach. On the beach everybody has an equal chance at competing, amputees, burn victims, midgets, and retards. The beach puts us all on equal footing, thats why an old fart like me at 38 makes fair competition for the 18 year old stud muffins, I couldn't even compete at a farting contest with someone 20 years younger, but here on the beach I probably own you. Guys like Shipwreck, Mat At Arms, Savage Parrot, Miss Syribo, King Of Beers, Namloot, and all the other good people here should be regarded as the George Washingtons and Ben Franklins to future generations. Long live democracy. PS, dear future generations, feel free to archive this post so that time will tell I am a genius and not a retard.

The problem is you ARE a retard... what the hell are you talking about, prostitution in the NFL... that was up in CU Boulder, AMATEUR Athletic program, not PROFESSIONAL.

And why am I not included in the George Washingtons and Michael Jordans or whatever or pro gaming?

Future generations will regard this thread as the words of the prophets. Physical sporting is on the decline. Soon there will be cyborgs running the show, and they'll be happy to work for peanuts, or more accurately wd-40, there will not be 17 million dollar salaries for dumps like Alex Rodriguez or Randy Johnson. Cyborgs will work for free. The end of physical sporting is near for us mortal humans. We are the George Washingtons of our generation, but we are too naive to see that. We must fight hard every day on the beach because future generations will be looking at our stats. We will never surrender, we will fight hard for democracy here on the beach. The war on terror can be won right here at home on the beach so let's get started and kick some major buttcheeks.

actually Bettman has finally got a unifoed bunch of owners who will not continue to pay ridiculous salaries to players who never think that millions of dollars is not enough.

The NHLPA is the one to blame (in part) or this situation...GREED!

yeah, i agree with you wolfy, big mac's testimony wasn't what i thought it was gonna be. one point he did bring up that i thought was right though was how people would react if he did answer the big question of if he took roids. if he said no, he didn't take 'em, no one would believe him and think he was a liar. if he said yes, then they hate him. pretty much a lose lose situation. kind of shitty that all this was brought about by a mediocre player (canseco) tryin to make some money. and why was schilling in this? pitcher's don't need to lift weights like power hitters. that's all i can ramble on for now

Who offers the salaries?
I totally blame the owners, they are the ones that went out of control and now they want to have a system in place so they don't screw themselves over. Not fair.
