Games like BF1942, Call of Duty, etc..all felt very stiff and were overly realistic. If BF2 follows the same pattern it will put a bit of a dent in the server at first but then it will go back to how it is now.
The reason people play Wolfenstein still is because it was built on the Quake engine. It has the perfect mix of realism and arcade feel. Hell, that is the reason why people still play Quake 1&2. No games seem to come close to the feel so we're forced to play the old games. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars or Quake 3 are going to be the most likely ones to impact the Wolfenstein audience. Of course, after those, there is also RTCW 2 too.

Not only is he Michael's best friend, but did you notice that Greg decided to leave ECGN right after Michael's verdict came out. Sounds like someone is going to have some FUN time at the Neverland Ranch!!!

I agree. It depends on what you like more, realism vs an arcade feel. All the rumors of RTCW 2 talk about using the Quake 3 engine.....but I bet by the time they start making the damn game they'll use the Quake 4 engine haha. Im sick of seeing rumors.....I want to see an anouncement from a reliable source that they are actualy going to make rtcw 2.....anyone know if its out there?
