Hi guys, I have a technical question. My mouse is pretty much broken, I can't aim like I should be. I'm planning to buy a Logitech mouse with somekind of laser in it, so without the little ball, but with a laser. Can someone tell if those mouses are good to play with?

Hello there!
If I am buying a mouse, I always choose the optical ones. (one's with the lasers in them).
I currently use the Microsoft Optical mouse, but no matter what mouse I use, it seems to get knackered after a few months of playing Wolfenstein.
I have heard that Logitech are the best brand to buy.
Hope that helps,
Giggles.

Yeah you helped me a lot, so what do you think is best, the ones with the ball or with laser? What would you advice me?

Lazer definetly.!!!!! Much smoother and I find them more accurate.
I find the ones with the balls are always sticking and you have to keep cleaning those balls all the time.

Definitely a laser. My Microsoft laser mouse is still working fine since buying it in June or July (can't remember which) 2002.
My aim may suck, but it's not my mouse's fault.

I use a USB optical Logitech mouse (800-dpi). I find the
optical mouse have a more smoother motion than the ball
mouse and I don't have to be clean .

I had to clean out my wife's ball mouse the other day. It was having problems, so I thought what the heck? Maybe it needs cleaned.
I looked inside and was almost disgusted...looked like a dead animal in there --- lint, hair, grime, etc. Got all the crap out and now it works fine (for a non-optical).
I think next time I'll just call city animal control.

Optical mouse

you don't have to clean it, don't have to buy a mouse path (or how you call it, the thing under a ball-mouse)
and there's a funny little red light at it

;)
(i got a microsoft intelli point)

Renz, I didn't think I needed a mouse pad either. But for wrist support you sure as heck need one. Plus, my mouse was chewing away at my desk surface. With any mouse I would recommend a mouse pad.

Affirmative!!! Defenitely the best and easiest way to play. You can get one for, not on sale, $20.
On sale a few weeks ago, I saw one for $5!!! Very rare offer!
