Embarassing question...

In all the time I have played Wolfenstein, I never thought to figure out how to do this. That was, until the other day when I needed ammo and came to realize I don't know how to get those icons on top of my head. Meaning, the ones with the medic symbol and the ammo symbol. Do you have to bind some key for them to work? Also, how do you bind a word/phrase to team chat or global chat? For instance, "thanks". I'll put them to good use if I can get them to work.

for med V, 2, 1

when you do the voice command the icons will appear above your head were everyone tryes to get a bullet...

Man I really am starting to miss RTCW....BF1942 has consummed me...I have forgoten all myliitle RTCW binds...maybe one of these days I'll hop on :ar15:

Yo Joe!!!! Wow, haven't seen you post here in forever, lol.

All you have to do is just, not in the ~ key but in the regular game, is to press V 2 1 for medic, and v 2 1 for ammo. I don't bind my keys. Too lazy.

Ugh. I coulda swore I pushed every button on my damn keyboard and that little box never came up. Oh well, thanks a lot guys. At least I know how to do that stuff now.

it can be that you changed the button for voice commands... (for me it's F12) but you can set it in your settings under Global chat and team chat, voicechat)
