Solution to Airstrike Problem

I played last night, and surprisingly there is very little difference. I didn't bother to even play an LT last night because I was so sick of the entire air strike issue. I heard some of the LT scums whining about the long charge time, but still saw an endless stream of pink smoke flying out of the Axis Spawn points.
I did notice I ran out of ammo more. Usually there are a lot of guns laying around where I can pick up the extra ammo I need, but last night there was very little of that.
I think these LT pukes are still forgetting their team-mates and just hiding until they can heave their loads.
What's happening is that originally all the air strikes were just overlapping, which limited their effectiveness (so to speak). There may be less air strikes now but there aren't four air strikes at the same time competeing with each other.
I say crank the changes up as high as they can go until we see an actual difference. If that doesn't work, I think the only way to address this situation effectively is to limit the amount of LTs (if that's even possible).

I would enable teamkilling. Cause then you'll be more carefull throwing your airstrikes.

Yes now thats the ticket..I agree with you on this point, It would stop alot of airstrikes!!!! and the new wolfies who dont know how to use them effectively.
But a problem will arise from FF being on, all the negitive scores.

I played a little last night and the thing I noticed the most is that on allies, we couldn't get ANY air cover... as a result there was axis always at the top of the back stairs and outside the radio room throwing strikes, but no allied strikes to keep the axis side honest.
So I think this current change has hindered the allies more than the axis. Unintended consequences...
I did hand out roughly double as much ammo as usual though, I dealt 88 in one round on allies, and just following my usual tactics... but I never even got close to the WR that same round... although I think it's that my team sucked....
Allies can be really frustrating due to nobody being able to get anywhere together... too much keystone cops, chinese firedrills, raging clusterfucks, cat-herding...

i've tryed to do some good job for MG's change...
2 games played, being lieutenant all the time and giving ammo to everyone... "most ammo given" Award twice, don't remember first time but second time i had about 186 ammo packs given
with this chance you can drop endless counts of ammo when you spawn...

I played last night too and noticed a slight change. I noticed a lot more axis up top than usual. However, I played a lieutenant to try it out and one airstrike took care of all of them. It is getting better as I made it into the Axis base a lot more than I usually do too. I couldn't play for long though because I had just came from the dentist and felt like crap. However, what I saw was definitely in the right direction.

ok, i'm just from the server (only played 15 minutes)
and what i've seen was GREAT!
people using there guns, medics not as stand-alone killing machines with there health with them but now medics need ltn's just like the ltn.'s need the medics...
actually the most i've seens is that a lot of people on this server sux in using there gun cause they are too much used to die or to drop airstrikes... i'm sure in a few days or even hours temaplay on the server will increase giantly cause otherwise they just can't win... they need those few ammo packsa ltn. has...
then about airstrikes... i've seen ONE airstrike, only ONE so it seems that all the airstrikes that weh ad before aren't dropped by people that are firing there gun for 5 minutes, suddenly see 5 allies comming up and trow an airstrike... no they all came from people, just respawning and allies or not just start every life with dropping an airstrike...
another thing i've seen is that a lot of people are using venoms cause otherwise they run out of ammo too fast... but axis will have to reorganise fast cause once allies start to use a little teamwork it will be VERY hard to stop them... cause almost every allied reaches the base...
this chance will increase aiming skills a lot
you have too... or you lose this game...
good job MG

I just got back from playing and I am a little bit torn here. It's really nice that I am not getting killed by an airstrike every time I spawn. On the other hand, I noticed what that other guy said now. Lots of axis on top of the ladder. There is no way, no matter how good you are, that you can get through that barrage. I counted six at one time up there all against the wall just firing. Then when I actually did manage to get past them by some luck, I got killed by a flaming axis on the backstairs.
It seems the allies need the airstrikes more than the axis right now to combat this effect. What if the allies start with 1/4 or 1/3 of a bar as opposed to the axis's 0 (if you could even do that)? That will allow the allies to clear up there a little bit with airstrikes. It won't be airstrike hell either because you will still have to wait a while to throw the airstrike on allies and a quite awhile on axis. If nothing else was changed, I'd still be happy with the changes though as it is better.
