It's just like changing your bindings.
I don't use the standard WSDA, instead I use EDSF.
I don't consider that being a tweak, but adjusting the controls so I can play the game better. Yes, adjusting your game r_overbrightbits to make the game brighter to see the players better...now that's a more reasonable argument. But you're talking about sensitivity.
Purist? Come on now, you're just bein crazy.
I disagree, what's more, i've done so without insulting you.
thusfar
your ingame sensitivity number also depends on how you have your windows sens set. so someone with a sens of 11 could actually turn the same speed as a person with a sens of 2 if the windows sensitivities are adjusted.
adjusting sensitivity is hacking now?!?! you must be an amazing player. Learn2Play pls.
ps. NOFX is a jerk!

umm if you wanted to limit sensitivity settings, its not hard to go around that with windows sensitivity, and mouse dpi... so yeah no point. BRING BACK 333
and timenudge on other servers up too -40, thats why ecgn is nice, except i use a -.25897535 so i dont need anything high lol!

It's about limiting a cvar. Lots of them are limited already, why? because they give an unfair advantage. It's the same thing.
*side note* Parrot, your avatar/signature really really lags the forum, I can hardly read the threads you post in.
You complain a lot don't you?
Anyway this ones smaller so you can get your panties out of that twist they seem to be in.

The reason people are on your case, if you haven't worked it out yet, is that they can see that this thread is clearly not about sensitivity so much as it is about you trying to throw a spanner in the works of other peoples games for personal gain.
Basically it seems you want sens capped becasue you can't get the hang of using the extreme values and you think that if they were made to play with the setting you like to use then you would beat them. Thing is these guys would kick your ass with any sens you want to give them and for good reason. They practice and work hard at improving their aim and in mastering their control of the game and their situational awareness. You can bet you ass when they started using high or low sens they struggled till they practiced and got good with it. It's not like you can change the sensitivity and hey presto you are god.
There is nothing stopping you going to an osp server and working to achieve the same thing. It's not the sensitivity that gives you the advantage it's learning what you can do and what you need to do that brings the advantage.

A plethora of assumptions all of which are wrong.
You all assume i'm a noob, i'm not.
You assume they're better than me. I consider us on the same level.
It's this arrogant bullshit that stops people from coming here and keeps people from coming back.

But that would give you an unfair spamming advantage we should get the forum admins to cap it so that they have to show...
It's not arrogant bullshit it's the truth. If people get an advantage out of sensitivty it's only becasue they have learnt how to use it. Or like mike said becasue they are good. If it was the major advantage you say it is then you'd be using it but as you are not it stands to reason it must be something you have to practice.
