I say just get a bunch of the nubjes to DL ventrilo and run a pug. Just as easy. Or difficult.

I think this is a great idea, problem I see is how lazy people are and not willing to really put any effort into running. Just IMO.

6v6 7v7 8v8...I'd say hell yea. Maybe shorten rounds to 10 minutes to give everybody a chance to play.

It's true that if my buddies and I were to play a tournament vs whoever that we would in all probability never lose. Ever. So that's why I was suggesting mixing it up by making teams in spec...put some of the "lesser skilled" players on the team with some of the better players and see what happens.

why not just have everyone enter in the tourny that wants to play, sort them out by what we know about them.

Put good shots with not so great shots, good revivers with not so great revivers, objective players with non objective players. It's all how the teams are made.

Nubz, you did something extremely similar to what Alex is proposing with Vision. You can group/rate players accordingly and it works out fine. Just gotta find a server, and have committed players. Which atm, we have neither.

I just said something to MAA the other day about an ECGN Tourney. We did it on Konijn a few yrs back. Had admins who used vent(roger wilco back then).We used the stats page to team ppl up. You don't get to pick who you wanna be with or some ppl wouldn't have a chance. Maybe we can talk him into putting up a server for a day for those who wanna play. Brag all you want until the tourney is over. Once you come back to ECGN it stops...no?
