heater wrote:How are some of these Agents not banned for hacking? Look at there kill ratios and damage at end of rounds and tell me they don't hack, earlier 2 of them Agent Misery and Agent Greif totally hacked the whole round while two admins where on there same team not doing anything about it. I mean when you try to hit them your bullets go right thru , and then I call them out on it and say i'm gonna demo them and they all disconnect in the middle of round, HOW MUCH MORE PROOF DO YOU ADMINS NEED?

What you described doesn't even come close to proof. Bullets flying through someone could be your connection, their connection, the internet in general, or some combination of all of them. The only way to convince an admin is with multiple demos that have multiple "WTF" moments in them that can't easily be explained away.

And your second mistake is broadcasting to the server that you're about to demo someone. Just go to spec and demo them and keep your mouth shut. They don't need to know anything. Telegraphing the fact that they're about to be demo'd will decrease your chances of catching them even more.

It amazes me a 10 year old game seems to have so many new threads on the same topic. Perhaps some of you can do research and you will see the concerns on the same topic dating back several years. You will see the same questions and the same answers.

lol huggy... Heater is obviously an agent. Nobody thinks they hack.

Anyways, I think that although a lot of people call hacks from time to time, the majority of the people that still play at ecgn are more like cateye. I think the people that still play do it because they still have fun playing.

But seriously... who complained about flessan?

Hey savage, that's the same shit they said about the Macarena and I don't think any of us want to relive those days.

I commend players like cateye for just cracking on whether they have suspicions or not, there love for the game makes them keep coming back, and that’s great. Shoutout to Dogday, dude emphasises this in every way.

As I mentioned that 5% is growing because there’s nothing to stop it. To be fair it already is probably higher whether it is new bots coming to enjoy ECGN from 1.0 or friends of those who are already using them on the server (YouTube video is an example of a friend who’s given his pal a bot to use on ECGN). Also the 1% is growing, which means you’re losing those players who don’t try to avoid the bots and take the other route for players like cateye to try and push the side forward.

To be brutally honest – this is illustrated every day on the server when you run into that annoying predicament of the teams being heavily stacked because no one wants to go against this minority consistently mentioned. This is generally when they are on axis. The allies don’t want to leave the forward bunker and just sit around above trenches trying not to die, the decent players on allies try and push but just get torn down until they are skulled. In fact this also happens on axis thinking about it, on a regular basis, when you get about 15 axis messing about in the radio room or camping downstairs because they can’t move anywhere as they stand no chance. Consequently you get 20 minutes of a completely unbalanced and let’s be honest not very enjoyable game, in which people leave In the hope there may be an eventual shuffle or the minority get bored and piss off themselves.

Eventually you will run into the problem where there are 15% of these players playing regularly at once on the server, and that’s when the decline will begin more drastically, you’ll get players buying bots just to stay in the game. You will have far more honest gamers leaving for something else and eventually, a rapidly decling server or at best...an Allstars.

I know people don’t believe me but it’s been like that for years now. You could ask the hackers to stop but if it were as simple as that I can guarantee far more people would still be playing the game on far more servers.

Finally Paco I know you think the majority are like cateye, and I can’t prove they aren’t so I’m not disagreeing with you. But there’s a flip side to“the people that still play do it because they still have fun playing”. I believe it’s very well illustrated in your signature.

Definitely mad.

No idea what you're talking about. I have never wasted my time looking up who you are. It's pretty obvious.

Probably not, since Warpig and I have no problem after we actually talked to each other. Maybe you should actually talk to those people that you suspect instead of trying to alienate them just because their kill ratios are too high for your liking (On second thought, that probably should have happened years ago). I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be so quick to call out the 'obviousness' of a player if you were friends with them or if they were in your clan.

Dont be silly, I havnt tried to alienate anyone. I have been completely discreet with who I suspect. Although I have been asked to through pm, I have not, and will not say who I think these people are.

I have no idea why you mention kill ratios, they really dont bother me in the slightest...get over yourself.

Unfortunatly I do know a fellow clan memeber who did try hacking to see how it was all done and voted F1 to see them out the clan and i provided no support to try and get them back on the server, Im still friends with them though...So again im not sure what your point is. edit: I can PM the GUID and probably the thread if necessary but I dont think its fair on the player im talking about.

...and yet you advocate them being permenantly banned, and I'm sure have a pretty poor opinion of them as people regardless of the fact that you can't prove whether or not they have done anything wrong.

You mentioned banning people based on statistics, that's why I mentioned kill ratio.

And your experience with your clanmate is irrelevant, since none of the people that you advocate being banned have actually been caught cheating. You can keep the names to yourself, but by your own description of them as being 'so obvious ... that the community continuously complains about them', I'm sure that the majority of the server could name at least one or two of who you're thinking of, regardless of whether or not they believe those people cheat.
