3D Toon-Shaded Bender

Postby Cpl. Bingham » Thu May 29, 2003 6:59 am

Couldn't sleep last night and I got to wondering about Futurama and it's use of toon-shaded 3D graphics for several aspects of the show, specifically Bender. I've also been looking for an excuse to test out Max's new Ink & Paint shader, so I built a 3D toon-shaded Bender. It's about 2 and half hours of work...... comments?

Kind of off topic but thank you Cartoon Network for showing Futurama and Family Guy, probably the only two shows with any real substance to them. And damn Fox Broadcasting. They wouldn't know funny if it bit them in the ass, repeatedly. I mean seriously, have you seen their Sunday night line-up? The Simpsons are becoming stale; King of the Hill needs to kill off Peggy; and WTF is this Oliver Beene crap all about. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the waste of airtime known as Malcolm in the Middle. All I have to say is thank Allah that it is finally getting warm outside, because warm weather equals chicks in very little clothing.

Family Guy is HILARIOUS. I can;t believe it didn't fare better . . . probably TOO intelligent for prime-time audiences.

The makers of king of the hill need to be kicked in the nuts then made to watch the replay. Maybe this would teach them the meaning of funny. To be fair when they quit trying so hard to be satirical they may find that they have become funny, though I doubt this will ever happen.

That would be Mike Judge of Beavis and Butthead and Office Space fame.
