What do you do for a living?

Taco Bell eh? I was a shift manager at a Taco Bell in Long Island thru college. My hands used to stink of shredded cheese. I also minored in Art Education in college and did student teach for a few years but never pursued the teaching gig. I enjoyed it and the kids were great, I just didn't like going from being creative to being a disciplinarian.... cafeteria monitor and all that non-class jazz. Don't get me wrong, I have the upmost respect for teaching and believe it to be the most crucial job out there. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I value the experience I had teaching though. It gives you a perspective on the past and future unlike anything else.

I'm an officer in the Coast Guard, specifically an engineer. I was on a ship, but now I work a desk, writing specifications and doing estimates for ship repair. In my spare time I'm working on a masters in aerospace eng., which is what I want to end up doing, somehow.
I agree with you Sannop. My retirement plan is to become a teacher.

Rule of Wrist quote,"I don't know what the deal is with forum ranks... I have 350+ posts, and am a corporal... Bladerunner, for example, has 220+ posts and is a sergeant... WTF is the deal with that ????"
i don't know why the ranking did that Wrist. i notice that
Enjin has 381 posts and he also is a Corporal. maybe this
will draw attention to it and the admins can figure it out.
the only thing different about me is a Chacal quote about
Colt "he is old as dirt". i fit in that class too.

I'm attending University working towards a degree in Business Administration, and working at McDonalds to pay my way thru, but hopefully I'll get a job as Sasktel (provincial phone company) which pays 3X more than I make now lol
