We all know that when that stuff is found, many like you aren't going to believe it anyway.

But until that time, I will just be disappointed with what we allegedly accomplished, namely stopping a torturous, murderous regime.

Who are we to think that releasing hundreds of children from prison is a good thing? They didn't want to join Saddam's "Hitler Youth", so they were imprisoned, and rightly so.

Many people got to see their spouses raped and killed right in front of them, merely for speaking ill of Saddam. Who are we to suggest that that was a bad thing?

And I'm sure most by now have heard of the huge plastic shredder - people put in feet-first so their screams could be heard before they died. Why don't people see how cuddly that really is?

I can't wrap this up without mentioning Saddam being my hero for gassing thousands of innocence Kurds, women and children among them. What a guy!

This list of Saddam's wonderful benevolence goes on. How terrible of us to put a stop to such a peaceful, loving regime.

war before had a hard core belief in it.I tell you what Floppy.
Why dont you start a new poll and word it any way you want

you haven't found weapons of mass destruction and still you agree 100% with this war. that i can't believe. every day american soldiers are under attack and there have been a lot of victims on both sides.

I still think all the countries of the world should unite to build a plasma based force-field over the middle east. Let them sort it and and keep them from blowing everyone else up in the process. :ar15:

I think you should turn on the news and see how far down the support for the war has gone. there have been numerous polls which are much more accurate than any poll on any forum.

Since the heady days six months ago when a statue of Saddam Hussein toppled in the heart of Baghdad, more than one-fourth of Americans who thought the war was worth it have changed their minds. The 76 percent level of support in an April 9 poll has fallen to 54 percent in a survey taken over the weekend.

Hate to Dig this thread out of the dumps, but since Bush declared that the war was over, resistance has gotten worse...this is no vietnam nor will it be, but it kind of does remind me of us going into a country we didn't know much about....

Thats just what I think now, but I am backing Bushes decision to go to war indefinitely. Genocide is a pretty damned punishable crime, I don't know why the hell we didn't take care of it before by killing Saddams regime.

Horse, it's good you can admit something like that. I never supported action in Iraq, but if they did find WoMD there, I would have said I was wrong too.

I just wish more people would be more skeptical in the beginning rather than having a "government can do no wrong" attitude. Being skeptical doesn't mean your unsupportive, just that you won't take everything at face value.
