Canadians defeat AMERICANS this weekend...
Now that I have your attention for anyone interested, this weekend Upper Canada Village is putting on the 3rd annual battle re-enactment of The Battle of Crysler's Farm. Its a war of 1812 re-enactment, I went last year and its amazing.
They have ppl come from all over the US and canada to be in it, alot from the old Kingston base. Anyone from Ottawa has no excuse not to be there. And if you dont know what im talking about, for gods sake learn some #*#@ing history.
heres link

History 101:
1. we are canadians
2. we have never lost a war ever
3. we fought the americans and won (big surprise there), we sent them so far back that we saw the white house .. burned it down .. pushed them further .. said screw it .. came back home ... good day for us !!!
4. the end.

Nice try, but it was the silly Brits who burned the White House, then were scared away by a tornado (or something like that).
But thanks for getting me to read a little bit of history this afternoon.

Doug, we Canadians practically are British. Were still a British colony, not to mention I live in BRITISH Columbia.....

I know, I know. But I'm still trying to find a reference to the event, and not one written by a "Candian" on a geocities website.
Yes, I'm splitting hairs, but with that reasoning, I could state that every European nation (including England) defeated England in the Revolutionary War. Americans then were "practically British", as well as practically every other European nationality or heritage. So in a sense, Britain defeating Britain is true. The Brits did step on their own feet by treating the Americas so badly, leading to the war in the first place.
OK, I think I'm finished having my fun with you Canucks...for now.
