That was a really interesting article... It goes into a little about what DeBeers has done, but in reality, if they released all of the supply of diamonds that they have, the price of a diamond would be about $50 per carat...
But they have perpetuated the image of diamonds and controlled the supply over the years to make a monopoly...
Haven't heard about diamond being used in computers before, but then I guess it makes sense...
The one I've heard about is a quantum computer that is designed on the molecular level and its operation is based on the principles in quantum theory... I don't fully understand it, but basically it's faster because the electrons can be in two places at once... pretty crazy...

it reminds me of stories of how the big time gas companies would take you out if you were to build a car that didn't run on gas...
