Run it at 3:2 man, the higher clock speed and tighter timings on memory will give you better performance.

My best bench was at 3:2 with 2,6,3,3 timings. Im not going to overclock any higher because Im already in the 1.6 volt range and I dont feel like going higher with air cooling.
I do wish my board would let me set a higher voltage on my memory though. Then I would be able to run a 5:4 with some faster timings.
How do i Improve all of this...mine is very sucky compared to yours and i have the same thing

ah screw it, i mean how much on an increase are you going to actually see with a 2.4Ghz machine? Upping it a few hundred mhz isn't gonna give you a performance increase in games, or if it does, it will barely be noticeable. it's more for benchmarking, in my opinion.
If you can OC it like Edogg can, well then damn you'll see some improvement in your games, but a few hundred mhz OC is nothing special.
You'd see better performance OCing your video card's memory and then the core.

looks like you're using a 2.4B processor. i don't think you are going to get as good overclocks from that cpu.

2.4B's OC good, if you have a good one that is.
What motherboard are you running? Or is it a HP or Compaq or somethign liek that? If so, no dice, no overclocking features.

It should, but liek my IC7, not very high.
I hate how Abit does that. Their first releases do not have all of the overclockign 'features.' So you have to wait for the MAX 3 or whatever MAX version is out later on.
This is my first and last Abit. It runs good, stable, great overclocker, but my previous two Asus's have had all the features from the first version on, and jsut ass stable, with just as good OC'ing results.

Yeah i know my board lets me, but like you said, not very high. It will only let me put it up to 2.8 volts from 2.6. Geil golden dragon will safely take up to 3.0 or 3.1 volts. If I could set it to 3 volts I would be able run at 5:4 with faster timings when Im at higher fsb speeds.

here is a beginner's overclocking guide. It is decent, but there are many more guides out there. This might answer some of your questions.
