Roy of Seigfried and Roy attacked by tiger

Postby JAG » Sat Oct 04, 2003 3:26 am

See the following story, Roy was attacked on stage by one of the tigers in the show. Can't say it wasn't somewhat forseeable, the risk is what made the show interesting.

Jag,

I appreciate your opionion.

However, that is NOT what made the show interesting. I actually saw their show in Vegas a few years ago. The tigers play a small part. The theatrics of their illusions combined with the various impressive props and choreography of the rougly 50 people on stage with them is what makes their show SPECTACULAR! :) One of the props was a 40 foot mechanical dragon! And, their illusions are superb! :)

I'm sorry to hear that about him. :(

Wairudo, I appreciate your opinion. I have also seen the show and agree that it was great. However, I think a lot of people are drawn to the show because of the tigers. The tigers are essentially a huge marketing gimick; and a successful one.

The story is sad, but those animals are interesting to most because they are dangerous (yes they are beautiful also.)

I can definately agree that the tigers are the initial draw to the show for many people! :)

I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the show as much as I did. :D

Yeah, the show was unbelievable. They would perform a trick and you just couldn't figure out how they could do it. Sad that they will probably never perform again.

I agree with what Penn of Penn and Teller said "Every living thing goes crazy. Every species."
