Banned for misunderstanding... PLS READ

"Hey all,

Just recently sumbled onto your servers about a week or so ago and I have pretty much stayed here steadily because of the good team oriented people and the entertaining voice chat..

Let me just give a bit of a long drawn out unnecessary background of myself..

I have been playing Battlefield 1942 since Beta and before this I was on the development team of World War II Online. That game is pretty much designed EXACTLY like Battlefield. I was in charge of designing and balancing guns and combat.
My first and true love is the sniper rifle. I have always been very sniper biased and would take a 30 minute walk in the woods to a well placed sniper spot, than a mad rush in a tank (I suck in tanks in BF as most of you will never see my in a tank). Anyway, I honed my skills as a sniper in BF long before the expansions and I must say I became very reliable at it. Then the horror started.. the hacks. People were swarming the game with the no fog and the no breathing hacks. It made my life hell because my one true skill was thrown right into the right because ring with the dweebs geeks and cheaters. So I moved on to assault and such, no big deal. I also try my hand at some flying alot lately. I was also informed the other night by Rule and DEVIL DOG that most people don't fly with mouse/keyboard? I could NEVER use joysticks and never had to since World War II Online was more mouse friendly in a plane.

Anyway, enough about me.

I was playing tonight (Tuesday Nov 4th) and we were on the Op. Battleaxe map. I took the first round as a Sniper and took a knee at our own Axis' base behind the sand bags. Before I had known it I was 10-0. Then soon came 20-0. Nobody had even shot me at this point. Had anyone seen me? I proceeded taking shots, going prone to reload and hitting the ammo box etc. Chacal was there with me I noticed. Anyway, after I hit 33-1 right towards the end of the map I was kicked. I figured I knew the answer why. You don't normally see anyone go 33-1 without a little extra curricular help. Anyway, the next map loaded so I decided to go assault and not push the issue after asking once. Shortly after loading up I was kicked again, and then one more time after trying to get on a third time. Anyway, I was informed I was temporarily banned.

I know I have joked with a few guys in game because of some of the kills I have gotten, but I wanted to come and say straight out, apologize, or explain that I am not using any kind's of cheats etc. I will try and stray away from sniping a whole game, but I usually have no choice when the 60 person games are going on because of my awful graphics lag.

Anyway, that's enough typing for me tonight. See everyone in game and due to the wonderful service of Cox Cable, I can't reliably run both BF1942 and TS at the same time, so I won't be seen much on there until this internet bs clears up.

Adding onto this, I was once again banned later tonight because of some misunderstanding in the Battle of the Bulge map.

I was aware that people thought I was doing something wrong while I sniped on Battleaxe so I moved onto the assault rifle on Husky and still scored 2nd place. Next map was the Battle of the Bulge and at the end the Allied team had one player left and in the chat the allied team gave away his position, so I repeated it to our team to go find him. *AT THIS POINT* Chacal said "How did Sgt. Chace know 'soandso' was at C6? Some people responded by saying it was in chat, some people responded negatively. If the chat logs were available it would show the allied team giving his position away and me repeating it in Axis Team Chat. I had previously swept the windmill and northeast base to find him and was on my way down south when this happened.

I was listening to Team Speak under my second name because I wanted to try and see if anyone was impressed with me NOT being a sniper to try and disprove any rumors that may be going about me.

It's apparent that alot of people thought I was cheating while sniping but that is what I got REALLY good at, and even when someone questions me I proved that I can score top 3 without using that gun.

All I can ask is that someone's gives me that chance to get back onto the server. Watch me 24/7 watch that I shoot like a normal sniper, watch that I fly like sh*t (ask DEVIL DOG.. even he shot me down) watch me in a tank (if you ever see me in a tank for more than 30 seconds you win a prize)

After reviewing the evidence, the comments of some regular players and the arguments you wrote in both your threads about this incident, we have decided to give you the benefit of some doubt.

Your ban will be lifted on or around Nov. 12th 0000 hours.

This is the second chance you're asking for, Chace. I suggest you take it and use it wisely. My motto is "trust, but verify".

I understand the technical limitations preventing you from using Teamspeak or some player classes when the player count is high. Try to make the most of it by working more closely with your team mates on the battlefield, and using the scout class more for the benefit of your team by calling for artillery and less for the your kill ratio by sniping.
