First processor: A year ago. It's not fitting to hold a person to one mistake they made.
Mobo: Above - A year ago. I knew nothing.

Any amateur computer user knows that it is quite ignorant to start up a computer without a heatsink.. this, sir, was no ordinary mistake.

Second processor: Not fried, you idiot. YOU tried to install the heatsink. YOU put on the heatsink wrong. YOU chipped the die on the processor.

No, I didn't. I'm not the one who keeps processors and such just lying around the floor, underneath garbage, and other completely random, and static filled places for months at a time. Good move, Einetein.

Connections: Not the problem. I've done it before. What do you think a power switch does? Touches metal to the pins. No, it doesn't sprinkle magic "POWER ON!" dust on them.

And how do you explain the lack of a ground? What happens if a spark comes in contact when you start the computer with a screwdriver and its not grounded? I'll let you decide.

Anyway, good luck with you're computer, Dakana. Its quite obvious you don't need my help. Just remember. With all the money you've spent on a near obsolete AMD box, you could have surpassed me, or hell, built 2 or 3 near obsolete AMD boxes.

/needs to stop flaming.

This is a classic and should be preserved in archives or something. :D

Ok. Back on topic?

We swapped out the PSU. Still no POST. The CPU is brand new, retail, yet untested. I shudder to think it's bad - I mean it's straight from newegg and was bought retail - not OEM. The RAM is also retail and is currently running fine in Ryan's machine. The video card worked on the last mobo, and when I swapped Ryan's VC in before the new stuff came in, there was still no POST. I may try to put my VC in his machine. The motherboard is from Abit RMA, the second one frrom there, so there is a possibility it might be bad. But that means another RMA. :( . Hopefully soon I'll be able to borrow a front panel that has a PC Speaker (the one that goes onto the motherboard and produces the POST beep and stuff) so if it beeps I can look up the error code. That's gonna be the final test, and if I get no beeps I'll swap in Ryan's VC or put mine is his, then send mobo back if nothing is resolved. Otherwise I can't think of anything.

Thanks for the responses guys, and sorry for my smacktarddom.
