Need to scrap a car
I need to scrap a car, but I have no idea who to call, what to do, or how it works (as far as, do they come to pick it up, do I get paid for the scrap metal, etc).
Anyone have any answers or can point me in the right direction?
TIA

Surely there are some junkyards that'd take it off your hands. I'm not sure if they'd pay you for the scrap metal or not. I know you can donate used cars to charities too if that strikes your fancy...
You may not need to scrap it....if you just want to get rid of it you can donate it to a school, most of the time they will even come pick it up....
Do you want money????
Most steel yards will take it to,you need to find out what to price of steel is,they will buy it by the pound (and you need to have a clear title)

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent!
If you donate it, you can write it off on your taxes. I don't know anything about the link below, but check it out if you want.

I appreciate the suggestion of donating the car. This car is not in a condition to donate. The only thing that the car is good for is the scrap yard. I am just not sure how the process works.

I dont know what kind of condition the car is in.....but if you donate to a school's auto body class they can fix it up and give it to charity....something to think about.

nazi killer is right. call a junk yard and they will come and pick it up. you should be able to get some money for it. they will part it out so it is worth something.
